Interact with others in our colony!
  • Create a "positive" fiction scenario (be kind and respectful) that involves someone else in our colony.  Include some historical words and/or facts.
  • Describe in detail one item your trade created and how it was created, include the name and what were they used for.
  • What is your connection to England at this point?  (Do you get your raw materials from England? Do you have family there? You may need to “make some of this up.”)

I get my tools from a man named Jay Hardwick that lives in England. I get my wood from the forest. And I clean out the wood so there is no bacteria so none of you of you get sick. I also have a family in England one brother and a mom and a dad. The reason for my trade to help people store different stuff. Barrel making involves casks, tubs, flat planks and sand paper.

good day, i need some toys before christmas comes for my kids in England. I hope you can spare a few toys for my kids. i am willing to pay 5 bronze coins for some toys. i wish i had a better connection with my family in england. most years i can’t see my family at all.but this year i plan to visit them I wish for some toys for my family.

along the route I follow I find a lot of leather and silk and such.so i make hats and sell them to the Indians and they give me corn. it takes about 2 days to make 1 hat for me some tailors can make it in 1.

Good-day I was wondering if anyone would like to go to the orphanage with me for Christmas. Megan could you make some toys and Sofia could you make some bread? That would be nice. I don't have a price in mind but if you could do it for the sake of the children. Very much appreciated, Sincerely, Ariel Aqua

Hello Ms. Weaver, I would like to buy one of your baskets to hold my supplies when I'm working or to carry my bread when I'm delivering it. How much would it cost? Or would you rather trade for a few loaves of bread?

The wax of the candle is made by Betty Francy she is the best candle maker in the town of England. She ships some too us every month she used to send a treat of bread but since this colony lives farther from England she afraid it might get rotten or bugs might eat it. So we are looking for a baker in this colony we have heard of this girl named sofia she is the best baker in this colony we have heard we will go to her baker and she if she would like to trade a candle for a piece of bread. How she makes the wax well she asks the beekeeper of the town to borrow her some honeybees she trades them for her candles she makes the honeybees make the wax after a few weeks they have made a lot of wax so she lets them go so she can take the wax.

Good day my fellow friends in the colony. I hope your business is going well.

I am working on an order of silver plates and spoons for the wife of George Washington , Martha. and I need help to finish the order on time. If any one of you is interested , I can teach you. It is a good trade and not hard to learn, here is what I do :
- First I melt the silver in a crucible made of graphite and clay in a very hot furnace.
- Then I pour the melted silver in a greased and sooted cast-iron mold to produce an ingot
- After that I take the ingot to anvil to be hammered and shaped , then I hold it with togs to be reheated and hammered again and again until it takes the shape I want.
- At the end I polish it until it is smooth and I carve a special sign at the bottom , and it is finished.

I got all the tools I need from England when I came here. But now I can ask the help of the blacksmith in the colony if I need any extra tools, or if I need to fix any damaged tool.

Hello fellow colony members!

I have been working very hard into the evening at my bakery and was wondering if anyone wants to trade with me. My little sister has been wanting some new dolls, so Meghan I was wondering if you would like to trade?

Also Kennedy, since it is winter now and getting darker earlier I was wondering if you would trade some candles for my bread?

I am baking special breads for Christmas. My breads will contain cinnamon and nutmeg imported from Italy.
