Welcome!! Happy Friday!
Today Olivia started her day early with ST Math and is having so much fun catching up. For a break she helped her daddy make a pancake breakfast where she read the recipe and helped measure the ingredients. We finished the morning by completing her Eureka packet; she helped her brother study his spelling words; sight word review; and then we had a long review of syllables. She wrote a small simple poem in her journal and we read it together. Liv read 3 Raz books and completed the quizzes and we will finish the day with outdoor play and exploration.
Zoe started the day by reading to me in the morning and doing a Raz Kid book and quiz as well. Then she did some ST math and we finished the math pages. Next, she made a birthday card and wrote a sweet letter inside and we read some Shel Silverstein Poems with her brother and giggled. She and her brother ended the morning by putting on a rock star concert and she rhymed all the lyrics she sang!!! It was hilarious. The poetry is paying off!! Lol
Olivia started doing 30 mins of ST math. Then she read in her 100 lessons to reading book, finished the math packet and did some reading comprehension work sheets. After that she read some of her books, did some drawing and wrote a letter to her friend :)
Oh, and she also wrote about 10 poems today!
We had a very full weekend shopping for someone events. Nova made all of the lists and crossed if everything as we got ,sounding out all of the new words, radicchio was hilarious apparently. We went on a hike and got turned around and were gone for three hours...it was super fun. We did math worksheets Sunday because we keep losing them. Tons of raz kids and st math. I emailed you my blog from last week!
We got a head start on our work on Thursday night. Joshua made up his missing work from Monday & did some ST Math. Then Friday morning he did his math packet, handwriting on a few pages of sight word worksheets, read 3 Raz kids books, 20 min ST math and 2 reading comprehension worksheets. Then we were able to finish early enough for a play date. Fun, fun, fun!
Bryce completed his math packet, did some ST Math and Raz Kids. Then he got to go camping with his uncles and brother. They hiked and did archery and had a ton of fun together.
For homeschool Friday Caleb came to visit his new sister at the hospital! We talked about newborns and the umbilical cord and how baby's brains are softer and the reason why. He is very excited! He learned this weekend how to help burp her and be gentle with her little body. We also did some ST math.
Congrats on the new baby!
Oliver finished his Math worksheets. On Saturday, we took a field trip to the Point Loma tide pools and lighthouse.
Ollie worked on some ST math in the morning and then completed his math worksheets. He then read a couple books in the afternoon and we did spelling city.
Gage started the morning with ST Math and completing his worksheets. We then practiced writing some sight words and did some sight word flash cards. He also completed some other math/writing work sheets we have and was even doing some times tables....he actually gets the concept and was able to get the answers on most of them. We did a lot of reading as we have so many new books. We finished the day going to boomers and hitting the batting cages.
We have the luxury of being in Ohio for this study day. We got all of our homework done as usual and then we took a walk around the neighborhood. Spring is in full season and we were able to pick out all the different types of flowers and plants that we don’t have in California. The girls collected different pieces to put together for a craft project at home. We also enjoyed spotting the wildlife, the Ohio state bird is a cardinal and we have seen lots of them while we’ve been out here.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
